Our son Nick today did some fabricating for us. We are so fortunate. He fabricated a support brace on the frame,  for the poop pipe...:)

Hemi is very impressed too!

It was a lot of work, but exciting to get the trailer in primer, Nick did  amazing welding for us too.... Thank-you Nick!!!! Steve is hoping to get it painted this week...:)

Nick helping us start the restoration on the frame. Here he is using the wire wheel for cleaning and stripping the dirt and rust removal. 

Reinforced frame with 3 x 1/8"  flat bar. Also added step bracing for more support. 
Shasta frames originally were only boxed in the tongue section! We fully boxed ours!

Latest updates on SCS....I thought we were done stripping, and we're going to start restoring, but this last week-end Steve decided we needed to take SCS all the way down to the frame....so here is a few photos of removing the frame, and saying good-bye to the last standing ANT, RATS & WASP nests, !!!!!.....:) I truly think we are down to the end of taking apart. The next step will be to paint the frame, so we can get it back under the trailer to start rebuilding....:)

More progress on SCS

Hi again,
As the saying goes, sometimes it has to get a little bit bad to get better. Steve and I (mostly Steve) I was his cheerleader, spent a lot of hours on Miss Super Cute Shasta this week-end. We finally have it totally gutted. Whew...big job!!

The toilet is out! The shower is too. Can't wait to get the shower pan re-enameled with black and turquoise speckles..:)

This is the BAD!!!! Steve can fix it though. He can fix anything!!! I try not to take that for granted!!

The wood on the front is in great condition, since it was not buried in the dirt. When Steve removed the siding it is amazing that some is so rotten and some actually looked brand new still!!! Windows removed too...:)

This is the area with the shower and toilet removed.

Down to the floor, the fridge is out now too, even though still in this photo. We bought wood and next progress is to start rebuilding rotten areas.

Continuing progress on the SCS

Today we discovered the extent of the damage to our SCS..It will be a frame off restoration. See the photos below:
